Every family needs beautiful memories, strong emotions and a little training in order to achieve high levels of performance. All this applies to the big family of Ducati owners, Ducati fans and Ducati passionates: they all gathered at Motor Park Adancata Track on June 7th, 2015 the hottest day of the year so far.
With a lot of dedication and hard work, the Ducati representatives in Romania together with the members of Desmo Owners Club Bucharest set up a great family reunion and a magnificent event, with special guests and lots of surprises for every member.
The Ducati Romania Track Day event was a great occasion for the Ducati family to enjoy the full power of their motors, but also an opportunity to discover the elegance and the thrill of the curves on Adancata track.
To be more specific, our special guests Dario Marchetti – manager instructor at Ducati Riding Experience Academy and Luca Pierotti – Export Sales Manager for Ducati were more than pleased to attend our event. Not only that, but they also shared their experience and skills with the Romanian Ducati family.
All this being said, the games begun!! „The relatives” (brothers, aunts, sisters and brothers in law, second and third degree cousins) begun arriving at 11 o’clock and started greeting everybody and admiring the new arrivals (Ducati Scrambler proudly sat next to the track).
Very anxious and with great emotion, everybody hurried to take their places inside the classroom where Dario Marchetti presented his masterpiece: a short demonstration of astonishing skills to ride on two wheels spiced up with lessons about how to approach the apex, how to break efficiently, how to speed up on a straight line. Of course is easier to learn from practical lessons, so before going on the track themselves, the pupils attended a live demonstration of Dario’s performance, accompanied by his good old friend and racing partner Tiberiu Troia- our national racing champion and our friend to be proud of. Each of the two mounted a Ducati and ran as fast as they could on the track. „The family” admired, applauded and tried to steal some tricks from the masters, hopping that one day they will achieve similar performances.
And now, let’s roll: the Beginners lined up and Dario carefully begun inspecting each outfit, paying attention to the safety elements mandatory for any rider. First things first: riders’ safety is the most important aspect of the trip. This way, you can best enjoy the thrill of the two wheel ride. Going on the track, Dario is leading the riders. He rides but he is also paying attention to the Beginners behind him. He evaluates every strong skill and every weakness. After a few rounds, Dario already knows what advices to offer and who is ready to receive precious tips from the „master”. Everybody is gathered in the classroom again and a new technical lesson is given. Now the Beginners are more prepared to approach the track and they feel more confident to try all the moves that Dario showed them. At the end, all Ducati riders in the Beginner group enjoyed the occasion of riding along Dario and learning from him. For sure their next exit on the road will be more exciting and more fun!
The „Professionals” quietly waited on the side of the track for the Beginners to end their rides and once Dario gave the signal, they anxiously jumped on their bikes and aligned at the start line. The validation of the equipment went smoothly, one more proof that being a professional involves taking care of the safety of the drive, as well.
Now, it is Beginners’ turn to stand on the side of the track and to admire the skills of their “brothers” and “cousins”. This time, the indications were related to the leaning angle, to knee down techniques, to extreme cornering tips and so on. It was obvious that this time the riders had more experience on two wheels and they gave Dario the pleasure of riding along a group of real Ducati experienced bikers. Of course, there are still a lot of things to learn but the Professionals impressed Dario and even made him personally congratulate some of the riders, inviting them to few more laps together.
Our friends from Motomagia TVShow on National Television joined us, they made our event more visible and more popular amongst all our fellow riders. They even rode some of the Ducati bikes: the newcomer Ducati Scrambler and of course the powerful and elegant Ducati Panigale feeling once again the emotion of the ride on a Ducati bike and the passion we all share for our Italian road partners.
We can definitely state that the event was a success, our big family being reunited in glory. Not to mention the honor of riding along professional bikers like Dario, Tiberiu and Luca. For sure next time we will gather in an extended version. See you all next time! Until then, don’t forget to Ride & Fun!
